My Visit to China

I spent five unforgettable days in Shanghai, visiting the exhibit “On Top of the Pyramid: The Civilization of Ancient Egypt.” I would like to thank the museum director Mr. Xiaobo, I also explored Suzhou, its museum, and stunning 16th-century gardens.

I was amazed by the enthusiasm of Chinese museum visitors and joined archaeologists at a boat excavation site, where their advanced techniques impressed me.

At the museum, the Egyptian exhibit has already attracted over one million visitors in just four months, with nine months still to go! About 10,000 people visit daily.

I also gave a lecture to 300 attendees, beautifully translated by Egyptologist Yan. The warm hospitality and love for the pharaohs I experienced were truly inspiring.
